(Long time Yankees fan. Although it looks like a foregone conclusion, I join in with several thousand others hoping that next year Judge will still be a Yankee. I know he's had his injuries and some years struggled but what other player on the Yankees has put them where they are this year? Cole? Don't think so even though the second highest paid player in MLB, besides that guy at the Mets. Stanton? Nope. Rizzo? No way. Judge deserves a lot more especially if he by his bat takes them to the World Series.)

Getting back to UConn, while the entire basketball world hopes and prays for a speedy and completely successful recovery for Paige , we know that while she recovers and gets stronger than ever she will be the biggest cheerleader of the women Huskies on the sidelines. We need to do the same and give these special young women our total support by boosting them by attending their home games whenever possible but also in our written words. They deserve our total support and cheering them on win or lose.

Anyone who follows basketball - male or female, college or pro - knows the human musculoskeletal structure wasn’t built to endure the physical stress of year-in-year-out play at a high level without significant injury at some point. Paige will not lose any of her natural talent or her drive for success; we can only hope she will return to the level of physical performance she deserves.

a wasted year !!

maybe this team will look for a big top 6' 5" player now!

or paige has a lot of free time she can help and get some top recruits

why are we not looking for a big,

will not win until we get one, 6' 3" is not 6' 5"

Stanford is better and bigger now,,

Pickup game? How did injury occur?

Realistically, UCONN should “bottle” all thoughts of a national championship. You can’t lose the best player in the country and win that title. Not with South Carolina still featuring the most dominant BIG in the game, and most of their championship team back for this season. We will have to enjoy watching the players we have and hope to be a tough out in the NCAA. But the dream is irrational now. We have to accept being the beast of the Big East and, likely, a sweet sixteen or elite 8 team. It is like the Yankees without Aaron Judge.
