Dan, You sound like ESPN. Nothing but questions about every player? And nothing but sunshine and rainbows for the rest of WBB. And yet Bueckers would have a problem starting?
Name one skill that the three seniors had that hasn't been replaced? Experience? UConn has 2 5th year players. UConn also returns 5 players who have started multiple games the last 2 years.
There are always questions. Like who is the starting pg for SCar? The 2 candidates are both coming off injuries that cost them the entire 2022 season and yet the media sees no reason to question it. UConn however has 2 healthy pg candidates and yet pg is a huge hole for UConn? I guess Henderson wasn't much of a player, right Dan?
I taught Junior High School Music in Wethersfield - from '74 to '83. There were good & "bad" classes (an entire 9th grade that just flipped the teachers off). But my next to last year, I had a bunch of kids who were just frickin' special. Much like these interviews w/Geno the kids listened - worked super hard and achieved - really achieved: http://www.jsayles.com/music/jr-high-rock-band/Separate%20Ways.mp3 -- So I hope the same's true for the women this year.
Two footnotes; 1. My kids spent a day up at UConn playing for a music education conference - in the (at the time) gymnasium. 2. Several of these kids went on to get their PHd's outside of music. They now teach at Princeton, Columbia, George Mason & Georgia Tech. (okay - so they were always gonna be "ringers")
