The 6-foot-2 wing out of Maryland almost committed to the University of Miami before the Huskies came calling.

As Qadence Samuels’ final summer of AAU ball began, she wanted to wrap up her recruitment. The 2023 wing from Forestville, Maryland had offers from over 40 schools and the process of narrowing that down to make a decision weighed heavily on her.
