Hidden Huskies: Saylor Poffenbarger got some valuable experience as an early-enrollee

Though Poffenbarger didn't play much after joining the team in January, she showed flashes of the type of player she could eventually become.

When Saylor Poffenbarger joined UConn as an early-enrollee in January, head coach Geno Auriemma went out of his way to make it clear he had no expectations for her.

“I don’t know where Saylor is at this point,” he said in January. “For me, it’s just a wait and see — an opportunity to throw in there and let her pract…
