The coach came away impress by one of his 2022 signees after seeing her play at the HoopHall Classic in January.
In each of the last two seasons, freshmen have played major roles for UConn. Paige Bueckers, Aaliyah Edwards and Nika Mühl were all central to the Huskies’ Final Four squad last year while Caroline Ducharme has been the team’s best player since Bueckers went down with an injury in December this season.
