Azzi Fudd's triumphant return helps UConn look like UConn again
The sophomore didn't show many signs of rust as the Huskies cruised to their most convincing win in a long time.
On Jan. 15, Azzi Fudd walked off the court at the XL Center with tears welling in eyes after suffering a right knee injury against Georgetown. 48 days later, Fudd again took the floor against Georgetown — only this time, she had an ear-to-ear smile on her face.
It was a full circle moment for the sophomore after a six-week, 14-game absence.
“It was nice to be back on the floor against the same team,” Fudd said. “A little rematch.”
